The first single, ‘Maa Andhaala Siri,’ from Anupama Parameswaran’s upcoming film Paradha, was released on Sunday. Composed by Gopi Sundar, the song combines folk and orchestral elements, with vibrant lyrics by Vanamali. Sung by Sri Krishna and Ramya Behara, the track is set against the backdrop of Anupama’s character’s Paradha ceremony, evoking a village setting.

Paradha features Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha in key roles alongside Anupama. The teaser introduces a group of women, led by Darshana’s character, on an adventurous journey. Among them is Subbu (Anupama), a conservative woman drawn in for financial reasons. The narrative shifts as Subbu returns to her village to challenge societal norms alongside other women, addressing regressive traditions.

Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for Cinema Bandi (2021), Paradha marks the Telugu debut of Darshana Rajendran. The script is co-written by Kandregula, Poojitha Sreekanti, and Prahaas Boppudi. The film also features Rag Mayur in a supporting role.

Cinematography is by Mridul Sujit Sen, with editing by Dharmendra Kakarla. Produced by Ananda Media Banner, Paradha is set to be released in Telugu and Malayalam.
