Reports suggest that director Puri Jagannadh has narrated a script to acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi and the actor is said to have given instant nod for the film. Further details emerged that Sethupathi was so impressed that he is ready to put his current commitments on hold and work on this untitled film. An official announcement is expected anytime soon. 

Puri Jagannadh who recently saw a streak of failures with Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni, is expected to give a massive comeback with this film. Reports also convey that Jagannadh has adopted a new writing team and this particular story is said to be content-oriented departing from his usual style of commercial cinema. This film is also reported to be a straight Telugu film for Sethupathi.

Vijay Sethupathi made his debut in Telugu with Buchi Babu Sana’s Uppena (2021). He got immense appreciation in that film from the Telugu audiences. Sethupathi was last seen in Viduthalai 2 (2024), dubbed as Vidudala 2 in Telugu. The actor has created a huge following among Telugu people and even his Maharaja was well received. This combination with Puri Jagannadh has turned heads and audiences are curious about the film’s genre.
