Priyadarshi starrer Court emerges as a big box office hit

The courtroom drama, presented by Nani, marked the directorial debut for Ram Jagadeesh

The Priyadarshi starrer Court - State vs A Nobody, which released on March 14, has emerged as a massive commercial success. The courtroom drama, also starring Shivaji, Sri Devi and Harsh Roshan in prominent roles, was presented by Nani.

After registering an opening day figure of Rs 4.15 crore (nett), Court - State vs A Nobody gained further traction over the weekend, collecting 5 cr and 5.65 cr on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, according to a report from Sacnilk. The final’s first domestic weekend collections approximately stand at Rs 14.8 (nett). Additionally, the film garnered nearly 7 crores in overseas market, taking its gross worldwide collections to Rs 24 crore.

Reportedly made on a budget of 4 crores, the Priyadarshi starrer is only the second clean boxoffice hit this year for Telugu industry, after Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Big-budgeted films like Daaku Maharaaj and Thandel did average business, after taking a big opening. 

Court - State vs A Nobody marked the directorial debut for Ram Jagadeesh. The film also starred Rohini, Sudhakar, and Harsh Vardhan in the supporting cast.
