On Saturday, streaming platform Aha announced the release date for one of its upcoming original shows Hometown. The slice-of-life drama will have its premiere on April 4.

Directed by Srikanth Reddy Palle, Hometown primarily follows the life of Srikanth, a young aspiring filmmaker as he reflects at his past and the town that shaped his life and personality. His journey unfolds through memories of love, friendships, family bonds, and life’s many “firsts”—his first flight, his first heartbreak, and the first time he had to say goodbye. Hometown promises to be a heartwarming show, celebrating the charm of small towns and the dreams they inspire, offering relatable moments to anyone who has moved out of their hometowns in search of a more affluent life.

Rajeev Kanakala plays the protagonist’s discplinary yet caring father whose influence shapes Srikanth’s journey. Actors like Prajwal Yadma, Sairam, Anirudh, Jhansi, and Jyothi comprise the primary cast of the show.  Produced by Naveen Medaram and Rajashekhar Medaram, the series also boasts a talented production team, including cinematographer Devdeep Gandhi Kundu, music director Suresh Bobbili, and costume designer Sreedevi Tetali.
