Puri Jagannadh has officially begun work on his next directorial, which stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. The yet-to-be-titled project was launched with a formal ceremony on Monday, where it was also announced that JB Narayana Rao Kondrolla of JB Motion Pictures has joined as a co-producer. The film is being jointly presented by Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner.

This marks the first collaboration between Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Sethupathi. The project is being mounted as a pan-Indian release, set to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. This collaboration between both the creative talents has generated massive curiosity among cinephiles and fans.

Veteran actor Tabu has been cast in a significant role, adding further weight to the ensemble. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Kannada actor Duniya Vijay has been roped in for a key character. While the film’s music composer is yet to be officially confirmed, reports suggest Mahati Swara Sagar is likely to be onboard.

The project is said to be one of Puri Jagannadh’s most ambitious undertakings in recent years, especially following the negative response to his last outing Double iSmart. Further details, including the film’s official title and additional cast members, are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
