The makers of Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha have officially announced the release date of the romantic drama on Sunday. The film, starring Naresh Agastya and introducing Rabiya Khatoon in her Telugu debut, will hit cinemas on July 17.

Written and directed by Vipin, Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha is produced by Uma Devi Kota under the banner of Sunethra Entertainment. Billed as a romantic drama with musical elements, the film’s teasers have so far offered glimpses into a narrative built on emotional contrasts, bonding through nature, and music-driven storytelling.

The title, Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha, translates to “The Love Story Narrated by Clouds”, and teasers suggest a story removed from urban chaos, focusing on two contrasting characters navigating personal conflict and connection. Teasers have also introduced hints of romantic rivalry and emotional baggage shaping the protagonists' journey.

The film's supporting cast includes a wide ensemble of actors such as Radhika Sarathkumar, Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Aamani, Tulasi, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Vidhyullekha Raman, Harsha Vardhan, and Prince Rama Varma.

For Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha, Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music, with cinematography by Mohana Krishna, and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh. The production design is led by National Award-winning art director Thota Tharani.
