Sangeerthana Vipin, who gained recognition with her performance in Suhas-starrer Janaka Aithe Ganaka, will soon be seen sharing the screen with Roti Kapda Romance fame Supraj Ranga in a film titled Payanam. The project was officially launched on Sunday.
The muhurtham shot was shot with Supraj and Sangeerthana, with renowned choreographer Raghu Master giving the inaugural clap and actor-composer Raghu Kunche operating the camera switch-on. Besides composing music for the film, Raghu Kunche is also part of the film’s ensemble cast, apart from actors like Avasarala Srinivas, Mime Madhu and Mehboob Basha.
Payanam is directed by Chanduram and produced by Swarna Kamal under the banner Chayachitralu. Speaking at the event, Chanduram said, “Payanam is a film built around a fresh concept. Designed as a drama-suspense-thriller, it holds many surprises for the audience. Every character in the film is designed to feel realistic and natural.”
The screenplay and dialogues are written by Veera Reddy and Satish Kumar Moola. The cinematography is by Shoyabh. Other key crew members include Rajasekhar as the art director and Room Jain as the costume designer.
The shooting will reportedly commence in the first week of July, with the makers planning to shoot some portions in Odisha and Tamil Nadu as well.
