Anushka Shetty’s upcoming film Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is now scheduled for a theatrical release on 11 July 2025. The multilingual film is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Originally planned for an April 18 release, Ghaati's revised date was unveiled on Monday by the makers along with a new poster featuring Anushka and members of her tribe migrating to another place following the tough water route carrying their luggage. The character is reportedly that of a tribal woman driven by vengeance, and the poster. The teaser, which came out in November last year, describes her character as “a victim, a criminal, and a legend,” setting the tone for a gritty revenge drama.

Ghaati is written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, with dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra. Cinematography is handled by Manojh Reddy Katasani, and music is composed by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar. The film also features production design by National Award-winner Thota Tharani.

Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamundi under First Frame Entertainment, the film is presented by UV Creations. It also stars Vikram Prabhu as Desi Raju. This marks Anushka Shetty’s fourth collaboration with UV Creations and her reunion with director Krish, with whom she last worked in the 2010 film Vedam.

Anushka was last seen in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, a romantic comedy co-starring Naveen Polishetty. Ghaati marks a shift in tone, promising a more intense and dramatic outing from the actor.
