While promoting Vijay Deverakonda’s much -hyped action-drama Kingdom, the actor, the film’s director Gowtam Tinnanuri, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga interacted in a podcast. Three of them were candid and talked about the upcoming film, behind the scenes and Sandeep Vanga dropped an update about Spirit. “It will start by the end of September,” he said.

During the interaction, Sandeep Vanga spilled beans on a missed scene in Arjun Reddy, “We were supposed to shoot the football scene in rain in one location but because I am the producer, we skipped it. That was the only scene we couldn’t shoot and that football ground, we cheated and shot in Hyderabad,” he reflected to which Gowtam revealed, “Let me tell you something interesting, Jersey’s climax was shot in the same ground you shot that fight scene in Arjun Reddy.”

Gowtam further revealed that he feels confident about Kingdom’s output. Vijay added, “Probably this is the first time, I am a little secure knowing that the best of minds is on the film. Gowtam is the director, Anirudh is composing music, Naveen Nooli is the editor. So, I don’t have to worry at all about post-production. If Gowtam says, it’s nice, then it’s good for me.”

Kingdom is scheduled to hit theatres on July 31. Ahead of its release, the film’s trailer is set to drop on July 26. The film, set in a fictional Sri Lankan landscape under military rule, was earlier teased through a multilingual voiceover promo featuring Jr NTR (Telugu), Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi), and Suriya (Tamil). The teaser established a world of resistance, survival, and rebellion.

The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. It is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and is presented by Srikara Studios.

Kingdom features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Jomon T. John and Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Navin Nooli. Production design is handled by Avinash Kolla.
