Vijay Deverakonda’s much-hyped action drama Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, has secured permission from the Andhra Pradesh government for a special hike in ticket prices. The revised ticket rates will be applicable for a period of 10 days from the date of release.

According to the approved rates, single screen theatres in Andhra Pradesh will charge Rs 50 (inclusive of GST), while multiplexes will charge Rs 75 (inclusive of GST). This price revision is expected to give the film a box office boost during its crucial opening week.

Kingdom is scheduled to hit theatres on July 31. Ahead of its release, the film’s trailer is set to drop on July 26. The film, set in a fictional Sri Lankan landscape under military rule, was earlier teased through a multilingual voiceover promo featuring Jr NTR (Telugu), Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi), and Suriya (Tamil). The teaser established a world of resistance, survival, and rebellion.

The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. It is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and is presented by Srikara Studios.

Kingdom features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Jomon T. John and Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Navin Nooli. Production design is handled by Avinash Kolla. All eyes are on the film as audiences expect Vijay and Tinnanuri to deliver a blockbuster.
