Yogi Babu has been revealed as part of the cast of Gurram Paapi Reddy, an upcoming dark comedy. On the occasion of his birthday, the makers unveiled a special poster introducing his character, Udraju.

Directed by Murali Manohar, and produced by Venu Satti, Amar Bura, and Jayakanth (Bobby), Gurram Paapi Reddy features Naresh Agastya and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. Presented by Dr Sandhya Goli, the film is said to explore a unique narrative tone in the dark comedy space. Naresh Agasthya plays the lead role of Paapi Reddy, a conman at the centre of the chaos.

As per the director, Gurram Paapi Reddy is set against the backdrop of Hyderabad city and presents its characters in a new-age, contemporary light. Yogi Babu’s role as Udraju is set to be a significant addition, in his rare appearance in Telugu cinema. The film’s ensemble cast includes veteran comedian Brahmanandam, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Jeevan Kumar, Vamsidhar Kosigi, John Vijay, and Motta Rajendran.

Gurram Paapi Reddy is currently in its final stages of production and is slated for a theatrical release soon. With a multi-genre approach and an ensemble cast, the film hopes to carve its space in the growing trend of offbeat storytelling in Telugu cinema.
