Mahesh Babu is reportedly preparing to perform all of his own stunts in SSMB29, his untitled upcoming collaboration with ace director SS Rajamouli. According to various media reports, the pan-Indian action-adventure will feature the actor in his most physically demanding role to date, and he has opted not to use body doubles for the film’s action sequences.

This follows a similar path taken by Rajamouli’s previous leads, including Prabhas for Baahubali and Ram Charan for RRR, who also performed most of their stunts.

SSMB29 is billed as a globe-trotting adventure drama set across multiple international locations. Originally, a key schedule was planned in Kenya, but as per reports, the unit decided to change plans due to ongoing civil unrest in the region. The production is now exploring South Africa or Tanzania for the shoot.

In another update, a solo dance number featuring Mahesh Babu is being filmed on a specially constructed marketplace set near Hyderabad. As per Deccan Chronicle, this will be a fast-paced mass track highlighting Mahesh in a new avatar.

The film unofficially stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. Priyanka recently filmed a sequence involving the traditional Mayurbhanj Chhau dance form, confirmed by her choreographer on social media.

Produced on a large scale, SSMB29 is expected to be one of Telugu cinema’s biggest visual spectacles. Shooting is progressing at a steady pace, with the team keeping major plot details under wraps.
