The makers of upcoming social drama Police Vari Heccharika set the release date for their film at a ceremony held on Monday. Directed by Babji, Police Vari Heccharika will hit theatres on July 18.

The film is produced under by Belli Janardhan, under the banner of Thoolikaa Tanishq Creations. The film’s first teaser was unveiled a few days ago. Starring Sunny Akhil and Jaya Vahini in prominent roles, the film promises to be a gritty and violent social drama. Both Babji and Belli are also part of the ensemble cast. 

Belli said on the occasion, “After retiring from the army, I stepped into film production. A director is the soul of a film, but every technician and artist involved plays an equally vital role—like organs in the human body. We believe its strong content will be well-received by viewers.” Jaya Vahini said, “I come from a theatre background and have often played negative roles in the past. In this film, I portray a character that’s quite different from what audiences have seen me in before.”

Director Babji said at the event, “Police Vari Heccharika will offer a distinct cinematic experience. Unlike typical films, this one carries a powerful social message and explores meaningful themes, with intense scenes, emotions, and even romance between negative characters. I believe audiences will leave theatres with a renewed sense of love and responsibility toward society.”

Notable names like Ajay Ghosh, Ravi Kale, Sayaji Shinde, Shubhalekha Sudhakar, Kashi Vishwanath, Jabardasth Vinod, Jabardasth Pawan, and Meghana Khushi are part of the supporting cast. Sindhuram Sateesh has choreographed the action sequences, and music is by Gajwal Venu. In the technical team, cinematography is co-helmed by Kishan Sagar and K Nalinikanth.
