SKY teaser: A few middle-class dreamers figure out life and love

The script for SKY is co-written by Pridhvi Pericharla and Murali Krishnam Raju, with the latter also playing the male lead

The official teaser of the upcoming film SKY was released on Saturday. SKY is directed by Pridhvi Pericharla, who has also penned the screenplay for the film. It promises to be a slice-of-life film, with exploration of middle-class aspiraitons and conflicts in urban relationships. Murali Krishnam Raju plays an earnest young man who wants to run a restaurant of his own, but is also struggling to be emotionally available. Meanwhile, Shruti Shetty plays the female lead, his someone who is more vulnerable and open to love. The film also promises to give prominence to other characters in Vicky’s lives, including a goofy content creator.  The ensemble cast includes Anand Bharati, Rakesh Master, and KLK Mani Bamma among others.

Pridhvi Pericharla has also written lyrics for his film, besides writing the story and dialogues along with Murali Krishnam Raju. Murali and Pridhvi Pericherla are also the co-producers for the film, bankrolling the project in association with Nagi Reddy Guntaka and Sree Lakshmi Guntaka.

Veteran cinematographer Rasool Ellore is onboard for the film, while Suresh Urs has worked as the editor. Shiva Prasad is the music director for the film. Costume design is Sahithi Reddy. M. 

Produced under the banner of Velar Entertainment, SKY is currently in the post-production stage. The movie is now gearing up for a theatrical release, although the makers are yet to announce a release date. 

The film’s first teaser was released earlier in May. A few days later, the team also released a single titled Thapane Thelupaga,’ a serene composition that has garnered over 1 million YouTube hits.

Murali Krishnam Raju returns to big screen with his 2020 film Bucchi Naidu Kandriga. Meanwhile,  Shruti Shetty made her film debut last year with the film Vicheyam
