The much-awaited follow-up film from director S.S. Rajamouli, dubbed SSMB29 for now, has created a lot of hype. Reports suggested that Prithviraj Sukumaran was cast in a crucial role in the film. Talking to Pinkvilla, Prithviraj gave a hilarious reaction. He said, “Everyone seems to know more about the film than I do. See, nothing has been confirmed yet; there are a lot more things to be discussed. So yeah, once everything is in place, we’ll see.”

As Prithviraj’s casting still lies in the dark, other industry reports hint that John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra are part of SSMB29. In fact, Priyanka Chopra recently flew into Hyderabad for look tests. Nonetheless, there is no official confirmation on this report.

With Super Star Mahesh Babu in the lead role, SSMB29, penned by Vijayendra Prasad, is purportedly the highest budget Indian film ever produced. With Rs 1000 crores being the tentative budget, Salaar 2, backed by Hombale Films, is set to continue the story of Deva (Prabhas) and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran) as the best friends turn enemies.
