Nandamuri Balakrishna who recently had a big release with Daaku Maharaaj, is reuniting with Akhanda director Boyapati Srinu for an action sequel to the 2021 film. The film, titled Akhanda 2, has been tentatively slated for a release on September 25 this year. On Friday, the makers announced that Samkyuktha has joined the cast of the film.

While other cast members are yet to be announced, reportedly Pragya Jaiswal, who recently shared screen with Balakrishna in Daaku Maharaaj, is part of the film as well. Thaman S is on board as the music director. 

Akhanda 2 was officially announced in October last year, with a poster that captured the devotional element of their film. Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, The film is mounted as a massive pan-India project.

Thaman S is the music director for Akhanda 2. On the technical front, Tammiraju is the editor. Meanwhile, the cinematography will be co-helmed by Santoshh D Detakae and C Ramprasad. AS Prakash is the art director.

Samkyuktha was last seen in a small role in the romantic-thriller Love Me - If You Dare. Her upcoming films include the Chiranjeevi starrer Viswambhara.
