SS Thaman: Akhanda 2 will be paisa vasool by interval itself

Akhanda 2 is said to focus on Balakrishna’s Aghora character, set for September release

Music director S Thaman, speaking at the success event of Daaku Maharaaj, urged fans to prepare for the upcoming sequel Akhanda 2. Thaman said, “Boyapati gaaru is making it so well and powerful that the film is full paisa vasool for the first half and the interval itself. The second half is a bonus for us fans. We’re gearing up for it like a tenth exam. Be prepared for Akhanda 2.”

Akhanda 2, scheduled for release on September 25, will continue the storyline from the first part, with a focus on Balakrishna’s Aghora character. Akhanda (2021), directed by Boyapati Srinivas, became a hit film garnering praise from the audience. The film’s music by S Thaman received massive applause as well. 

Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s latest film Daaku Maharaaj has also been performing well at the box office. The actor appears in three make-overs: a dacoit, an officer, and a domestic worker. Urvashi Rautela appears in a minor role, with Pragya Jaiswal as Balakrishna’s wife and Bobby Deol as the antagonist.

Directed by Bobby Kolli, the cast for Daaku Maharaaj includes Shraddha Srinath, Makarand Deshpande, Shine Tom Chacko, Ravi Kishan, and Chandni Chowdhary. Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane.
