Anupama Parmeswaran, who scored a big box office hit with her previous release Tillu Square, will soon be seen headlining the social drama Paradha. The upcoming film also stars Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha Krish in prominent roles. The makers of the film unveiled the official teaser on Wednesday at a grand event.

The Paradha teaser begins on a warm note, with the visuals of a bunch of women, headed by Darshana’s character, embarking on an adventurous trip. The team includes unlikely candidates, including Subbu (Anupama), a conservative woman who is in it for the monetary prospects. However, the mood of the teaser dramatically changes as Subbu is forced to return to her village to battle larger social demons, in solidarity with other women from her village, to eradicate regressive customs and pave way for a freer society for women.

Paradha is directed by Praveen Kandregula, who previously directed the critically acclaimed Cinema Bandi (2021). Praveen is also one of the writers for Paradha, sharing credits with Poojitha Sreekanti and Prahaas Boppudi. Paradha marks the Telugu debut for Darshana Rajendran. Additionally, the film stars Rag Mayur in the supporting cast.

The music for Paradha has been composed by Gopi Sundar. In the technical team, Dharmendra Kakarla helms the editing and Mridul Sujit Sen is the cinematographer. Produced under Ananda Media Banner, Paradha will have a theatrical release in Telugu as well as Malayalam.
