Early morning on Tuesday, income tax officials initiated raids at the residences and offices of several prominent producers in the Telugu film industry. Among those targeted is Dil Raju, a well-known producer who released two films this Sankranthi and currently serves as the chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation.

The raids extended to the residence of his business partner and producer, Sirish, as well as the home of his daughter, Hansita Reddy. Simultaneously, searches are underway at the properties of Mythri Movie Makers, including the residences of producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, along with their CEO, Cherry. The production house recently worked on the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Reports indicate that the operation involves 55 teams conducting inspections across eight locations. Dil Raju, known for high-budget films that released recently, Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vastunnam, is reportedly facing significant scrutiny. The Venkatesh starrer became a 100-crore grosser at the box office. Reports suggest that these raids are part of a broader investigation, though further details on their scope or findings are yet to emerge.
