Dear Krishna trailer: Divine intervention helps a young man battle through terminal illness 

The upcoming film also marks the Telugu debut for Premalu star Mamitha Baiju

The makers of Dear Krishna unveiled their film’s official trailer on Wednesday. The film, based on a true story, also marks the Telugu debut for Mamitha Baiju in a supporting role.

Akshay Krishnan, on whose life the film is based, plays the lead role in Dear Krishna. The debutant plays a college student, grappling with relatable issues of a college life, until tragedy strikes as he learns about his terminal illness. As even the doctors arrive on the verge of giving up, the protagonist’s belief in Lord Krishna comes to his rescue.

Dear Krishna stars Aishwarya Ullas as the female lead. The film is written and directed by Dinesh Baboo, who has also served as a cinematographer for the film. PN Balaram, the producer of the film, has also penned the story. The music is by Hari Prasad, while Rajeev Ramachandran helms the cinematography.

Dear Krishna is slated for a theatrical release on January 24.
