Vikram Prabhu will soon be making his Telugu debut with the upcoming action-thriller Ghaati, that also marks the comeback project for Anushka Shetty. On Wednesday, the makers of the film made the announcement, sharing a character poster for the actor.

Vikram Prabhu plays Desi Raju in the film. Krish Jagarlamundi, who is directing Ghaati, took to X page to make the announcement. “It’s been a privilege to witness ur transformation into the fierce n fearless DesiRaju and can’t wait for the world to experience your Ghaati energy.”

The makers of Ghaati had unveiled the first glimpse in November last year, which established Anushka as a tribal woman out on a violent quest to seek revenge. The story for Ghaati has been penned by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, while Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues. Thota Tharani is the art director, and Manojh Reddy Katasani is the cinematographer. Nagavelli Vidya Sagar is the music director. 

Anushka and Krish had previously collaborated on 2010 film Vedam, which was a landmark film in Anushka’s career. Vikram Prabhu was last seen in the 2023 film Iragapatru. 

Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamundi under First Frame Entertainment, Ghaati is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on April 18, 2025.
