Sai Raam Shankar, who last headlined the romantic drama Vey Dharuvey, will soon be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming thriller Oka Padhakam Prakaram. The makers of the film released the official trailer on Friday.

The trailer for the film has been cut in an intriguing manner, giving glimpses of the story universe and its many characters, without revealing the plot details. Written and directed by Vinod Vijayan, Oka Padhakam Prakaram promises to be a tense thriller with a hint of psychological drama and exploration of spiritual themes where Sai Raam plays a falsely arrested young man, mystified by the identity of a mysterious criminal. Vinod, who is also co-producing the film with Garlapati Ramesh, makes his comeback to film direction after nine years with this film—his previous directorial Vaadu Nenu Kaadhu also starred Sai Raam Shankar as the male lead.

Besides Sai Raam Shankar, Oka Padhakam Prakaram stars Samuthirakani, Ashima Narwal, and Shruti Sodhi in the primary cast. Eminent cinematographer Rajeev Ravi is one of the DOPs for the film, sharing credits with Pappu. Karthik Jogesh is the editor. Rahul Raj is the music director, while Gopi Sunder has provided the background score.

Oka Padhakam Prakaram is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 7 this year.
