Actor Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad on Tuesday to check on eight-year-old Sri Tej, who sustained serious injuries in a stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre on December 4, 2024.

Hospital authorities confirmed the actor spent 15 minutes with the boy after securing police permission and coordinating with the hospital to maintain public order. Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman and producer Dil Raju accompanied him, and security was heightened during the visit.

The stampede, triggered by overcrowding and allegedly worsened by Allu Arjun’s unannounced appearance, resulted in the death of Revathi, a mother, and left her son Sritej with severe brain injuries. Telangana police arrested the actor briefly after the incident.

Allu Arjun expressed deep concern for the child’s recovery, stating he wished to meet the family earlier but refrained due to legal proceedings. A hospital bulletin noted the boy is stable, with vital parameters under control.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna. Released on December 5, the film has grossed Rs 1,831 crores worldwide, becoming India’s second-highest-grossing film behind Dangal.
