Sapthagiri, known for his work in films like Sapthagiri LLB and Waltair Veerayya, is playing the lead role in the upcoming entertainer Pelli Kaani Prasad. The film will be released by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. On Monday, the makers unveiled the first look of their film, also announcing March 21 as the release date. 

The first look poster of Pelli Kaani Prasad captures Sapthagiri with an array of expressions, highlighting the quirky and multi-faceted personality of the protagonist. The film’s title is a playful homage to the Venkatesh starrer Malleswari, where the Sankranthiki Vasthunam actor had played a man named Pelli Kaani Prasad.

Abhilash Reddy Gopidi is directing the film, while KY Babu is producing the project, in collaboration with Bhanu Prakash Goud, Sukka Venkateshwar Goud, and Vybhav Reddy Mutyala, under the banner of Thama Media Entertainments. The supporting cast of the film includes Priyanka Sharma, Muralidhar Goud, Laxman, Annapurnama, Pramodini, and Rohini. Shekar Chandra is providing the music. Sujatha Siddarth is handling the cinematography, and Madhu is on board as the editor. 

Sapthagiri’s last major release was Prabhas starrer Salaar (2023), where he played Chandram.
