We had earlier reported about Navdeep’s upcoming film Dhandoraa, where the actor is collaborating with Colour Photo producers Loukya Entertainments. On Friday, the makers released a ‘first beat’ glimpse of their film.
The teaser begins with the historical footage of Dr BR Ambedkar talking about caste barriers in the country, followed by snippets of news coverage about honour killings, with caste discrimination as the root cause. The teaser then ends with a rousing BGM piece, which underlines the film’s themes of revolution and uprising against societal injustice. The film’s lead cast includes Nandu Vijay Krishna, Manika, Sivaji, Ravi Krishna, Mounika and Raadhya.
Billed as a ‘tale of traditions, conflict, and change,’ Dhandoraa is produced by Benny Muppaneni, and directed by Muralikanth. On the technical front, Venkat R Shakamuri is the cinematography while Garry BH is the editor. Mark K Robin has been signed as the music composer.
The makers also announced that the shoot is currently in progress, and that they plan to release the film later this year.
