Vishwak Sen has addressed the criticism surrounding his recent film Laila, assuring audiences that his future projects will not cross boundaries of vulgarity.

Taking to social media on Thursday, Sen accepted the negative reception of the film. “I acknowledge that my recent films haven’t met expectations. My last film received constructive criticism, which I wholeheartedly accept,” he stated.

He also apologised to his supporters, saying, “To my well-wishers and those who believe in me, I sincerely apologise. My intention has always been to bring something fresh to the audience, and I deeply respect the feedback I have received. Moving forward, I promise that whether my films are class or mass, they will never cross the line into vulgarity.”

The actor also expressed gratitude towards producers and distributors who have backed his career, assuring audiences that he is committed to making each scene count.

Laila, directed by Ram Narayan, was released on 14 February and had Sen take on a female makeover for the first time. The film was widely criticised for its humour and content being in poor taste. Vishwak Sen is now preparing for his next project, Funky, directed by Anudeep KV.
