Director Harish Shankar attended the pre-release event of Return of the Dragon, the Telugu version of Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming coming-of-age film, on Sunday, where he shared an update about his upcoming film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan.

During the event, Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu mentioned his aspiration to make a film featuring Pawan Kalyan in a powerful scene where the actor sits atop a moving car, inspired from his real-life incident. In a playful response, Harish Shankar revealed an update about Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

“I have already designed a scene in Ustaad Bhagat Singh where Pawan Kalyan sir travels sitting on top of a car. You can call this ‘Harish Leaks,’ just like ‘Chiru Leaks,’” he said. The director added that the sequence is inspired by a real-life moment from Pawan Kalyan’s political journey when he sat on top of his car to meet Ippatam residents despite restrictions.

Harish Shankar, known for his affinity for remakes, faced a setback with Mr. Bachchan, an adaptation of Raid. With Ustaad Bhagat Singh, based on Theri, he aims for a hit. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is gearing up for release on 28 March, followed by director Sujeeth’s action-thriller OG, which has generated massive anticipation.
