Anirudh, who made his comeback to Telugu cinema last year with Jr NTR starrer Devara, is composing for two Telugu films this year, Magic and Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kingdom. Both of them are being directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri. On Friday, the makers of Magic released their first single, titled ‘Don’t Know Why.’

Penned by Krishnakanth, ‘Don’t Know Why’ is a soft, youthful and evocative composition, based in soft rock. Aishwarya Suresh Bindra has beautifully rendered the song, with Anirudh himself joining her behind the microphone. More interestingly, the promotional video for ‘Don’t Know Why’ features Anirudh and Aishwarya performing the song with a music band, interpreted with a few shots from the movie primarily featuring Ponniyin Selvan fame Sara Arjun, capturing her character’s bonding with her friends, one of which blossoms into a romance.

Produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujnaya, Magic is billed as a coming-of-age musical drama. The film also features Anmol Kajani, Aakash Srinivas, and Siddarth Tanuku in the lead cast. The film’s technical crew includes prominent names like Avinash Kolla (Production design), Navin Nooli (editing), and Girish Gangadharan (cinematographhy).

The makers also released the song in Tamil, where Vignesh Shivan penned the lyrics. It is to be noted that Magic will be released in both Telugu and Tamil. The makers are yet to announce a release date.
