A success meet for Thandel was held in Hyderabad, attended by Nagarjuna, producer Ashwini Dutt, and the film’s team. The film, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is performing well at the box office, grossing worldwide Rs 58 crores, according to Sacnilk.

During the event, director Chandoo Mondeti announced his next project with Naga Chaitanya. He said, “I am happy that Sobhita gaaru speaks Telugu very fluently, and I want her to transfer it to Chaitanya gaaru. I will be making a historical film with Chaitanya in the future.”

He further revealed, “Akkineni Nageswara Rao Garu played the iconic Tenali Ramakrishna on screen, and we are once again bringing that wonderful character to the big screen. We will make sure to give our best in terms of writing. We will design that film in a way that appeals to the current generation. I am highly confident that Chaitanya will recreate ANR gaaru’s magic, and we will all witness it.”

The announcement surprised fans, sparking interest in the upcoming project. Tenali Ramakrishna (1956) is an iconic film with the titular role essayed by Akkineni Nageswara Rao; Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather. Thandel marks the third collaboration between Chandoo Mondeti and Naga Chaitanya after Premam (2016) and Savyasachi (2018).
