Goa police have launched an investigation into the suspected suicide of noted film producer Sunkara Krishna Prasad Choudhary, popularly known as KP Choudhary. His body was discovered on Monday in a rented residence in Siolim village, North Goa, according to Anjuna police.

Choudhary, 44, was known in the Telugu film industry for distributing the Telugu version of the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali (2016). He has also been a disturber of Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh (2016) and Mahesh Babu's Seetamma Vaktilo Sirimalle Chettu (2013). However, his career faced multiple setbacks, including a reported involvement in a 2023 drugs case. The Cyberabad Special Operations Team had arrested him for allegedly supplying narcotics to prominent personalities in Tollywood, Kollywood, and business circles.

Reports allege that, in recent years, Choudhary reportedly struggled with severe financial difficulties and pressure from moneylenders. After experiencing losses in the film industry, he opened OHM pub in Goa, where he was allegedly involved in drug distribution to celebrities.
