The upcoming film Thandel, a love story set against an Indo-Pak conflict, is scheduled for theatrical release on February 7. With just days to go, the film’s team, including actors Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, director Chandoo Mondeti, and producer Allu Aravind, have been actively promoting it through public events and media interactions.

In a recent interview, Sai Pallavi spoke about Naga Chaitanya’s performance. “There’s a particular scene in which Chay delivered a splendid performance. I immediately told director Chandoo to reshoot my lead scene as I felt my performance wouldn’t match Chay’s. I felt we should better the lead scene to do justice to Chay’s performance,” she said.

Thandel’s trailer introduces fisherman Raju (Naga Chaitanya) and Bujji Thalli (Sai Pallavi) in a seaside romance before shifting focus to Raju’s journey abroad to protect his people. The story takes a dramatic turn when Raju and his crew are captured by the Pakistani army, setting the stage for a narrative involving love, patriotism, and survival.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel marks his second collaboration with Naga Chaitanya after Premam (2016). With cinematography by Shamdat, production design by Srinagendra Tangala, and music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film is gearing up for release.
