The grand pre-release event of Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja saab was held on Saturday evening. Thousands of Prabhas fans and film-goers were in attendance, bringing great energy to the proceedings. On the occasion, the primary cast and crew, including producer SKN and Thaman S, gave rousing speeches.

Meanwhile, The Raja Saab director Maruthi got visibly emotional during his speech. The filmmaker acknowledged the contribution of the entire team at People Media Factory for the making of his film that will arrive in theatres on January 9. Maruthi also recalled his first meeting with Prabhas on the sets of Adipurush, acknowledging the contribution of SS Rajamouli and many other Telugu filmmakers like Sukumar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga for putting Telugu cinema on global map.

While speaking about Prabhas, then, Maruthi burst into tears. Prabhas then came on to the stage and consoled Maruthi, drawing a huge uproar from the audience as he said, “This is three years of hard work that’s finally coming out.” Once Maruthi got a hold on his emotions, he promised a satisfactory experience to all Prabhas fans.

Among others, the female lead actors of the film — Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar — too praised Prabhas for being a sweet co-star.

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, The Raja Saab is the first of many Telugu releases scheduled for Sankranthi release.
