Days after actor Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed by fans during a song launch event for Prabhas' The Raja Saab, Samantha faced similar issues on Sunday during a store launch event in Hyderabad. The actor was visibly uncomfortable as scores of fans who turned up at the venue were seen pushing her to get a picture. Like Nidhhi, she struggled to leave the venue and get inside her car. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, inviting backlash from users who criticised fan culture and people's "lack of civic sense."
This is not the first time the actor has been facing such an incident at a public event. A few users also pointed to lack of crowd management at the venue and emphasised the need for better security arrangements for celebrities.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Subham earlier this year in a cameo appearance. She backed the critically-acclaimed film through her banner Tra-la-la Moving Pictures. She is once again collaborating with Raj & DK on the upcoming web series Rakt Brahmand - The Bloody Kingdom.
She was also recently in the news as she tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. The wedding ceremony took place at the Linga Bhairavi Devi temple in Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore and was attended by close friends and family.
