Veteran actor Mohan Babu is playing a key role in Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise. The film is directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri. Sonali Kulkarni, popular in Hindi and Marathi cinema, will also be also seen in an important role.

According to sources, Mohan Babu has completed his portion of the shoot. “Mohan Babu worked for nearly 20 days on the film and recently wrapped up his shooting. After a long gap, the senior actor is seen in a film where he plays a substantial role,” the source said. The actor is reportedly very pleased with his character and appreciated director Srikanth Odela’s writing, the source added.

The source also revealed that Mohan Babu charged close to Rs 6 crore as remuneration for the role. “Though the fee is on the higher side, the makers were keen on casting Mohan Babu for this particular character and brought him on board,” the source stated.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise is a period action drama in which Nani plays the role of Jadal. Raghav Juyal plays the main antagonist.

On the other hand, Mohan Babu has also signed another film titled Srinivasa Mangapuram, which marks the debut of Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, nephew of Mahesh Babu. The senior actor, who was last seen in Kannappa, has already participated in the Srinivasa Mangapuram shoot and completed one schedule.

In the film directed by Ajay Bhupathi, Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon, plays the female lead, making her Telugu debut.
