The Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi collaboration Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is gearing up for a theatrical release on January 11, 2026. The date was officially announced at a recent event organised by producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela, along with director Anil Ravipudi. With promotions now underway, the filmmaker has opened up about the film’s central characters in an exclusive conversation.
Anil Ravipudi revealed that Chiranjeevi will be seen playing an NIA agent in the film, marking a key aspect of the narrative. He added that the story is set against the backdrop of a wealthy family, blending action, humour, and emotional beats. Nayanthara plays the daughter of a billionaire, and her character shares a romantic arc with Chiranjeevi, an aspect the director believes adds an interesting layer to the film’s dynamics.
Venkatesh, who has previously collaborated with Anil Ravipudi on three films, returns in a pivotal role in this project. Addressing speculation that the actor might once again appear as a police officer — given his cop role in Sankranthiki Vasthunnam — Anil clarified that Venkatesh will be seen in a completely different avatar. “He is playing a billionaire in this film, not a cop. I wanted to present him in a new way,” the director said.
Speaking about casting Nayanthara, Anil Ravipudi expressed his happiness at how smoothly the collaboration came together. He shared that the actress showed immediate interest when he narrated the story and readily agreed to be part of the film. While she may not participate in all promotional activities, the director noted her enthusiasm for the project during the filming phase.
With the shoot now wrapped up, the team has shifted focus to promotions. Reflecting on his experience working with the stars, Anil Ravipudi spoke warmly about his bond with Chiranjeevi. “I developed a special connection with Chiranjeevi garu during this film, and I truly missed him once the shoot was over,” he said.
Describing the on-screen chemistry between Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh, Anil likened their dynamic to two mischievous backbenchers. “The kind of fun and mischief two naughty students create while sitting in the last bench—that’s the energy Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh bring to this film. Watching these two superstars share screen space will be a feast for cinema lovers,” he added.
With a high-profile cast, an intriguing mix of action and humour, and a festive release lined up, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of Sankranthi 2026.
