The film was initially expected to release on December 5 but was postponed indefinitely due to financial issues. The producers are currently in discussions to resolve these matters. Senior producer Suresh Babu also stated on Friday that he has been in touch with the team and is helping expedite the process.

Amid these developments, the production house 14 Reels Plus Entertainments shared an update on their social media handles. They stated that the new release date will be announced soon, adding, “With a blockbuster date very soon.”

Earlier, the production house released a detailed statement expressing gratitude toward the film’s lead actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu. “We’ve tried our absolute best to bring Akhanda 2 to the big screens, but despite our tireless efforts, sometimes the most unexpected things happen, and unfortunately, this is that time. We sincerely apologize to all the fans and cinema lovers across the world who have been eagerly waiting for the film with so much anticipation,” the statement read.

They further added, “We are forever grateful to our dearest ‘God of Masses’ Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu and Boyapati Sreenu Garu for standing by us during this challenging moment. Akhanda 2 will hit the bullseye whenever it arrives… Coming very soon with a new date.”
