Ritesh Rana and Satya have famously collaborated on the Mathu Vadalara franchise

A few days ago, we had reported about Mathu Vadalara director Ritesh Rana commences his next film with Satya in the lead, titled Jetlee. On Monday, the Jetlee team shared a new video, announcing that the shoot has commenced for the film.

In the said video, that is made in a tongue-and-cheek manner, Satya and Ritesh Rana can be seen intensely interacting about their film and its themes. However, Satya’s excitement slowly wanes away as he realises all his ideas and notions about the film and his role are completely the opposite of what Ritesh Rana has in mind.

The official title of the film was announced two weeks ago, with a quirky poster featuring Satya practicing martial arts atop an airplane, flexing his nunchaku skills. Jetlee will be produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the banner of Clap Entertainment, which also bankrolled the Mathu Vadalara movies.

Rhea Singha plays the female lead, while the supporting cast includes Vennela Kishore. In the technical team, Suresh Sangamam is the cinematographer and Karthika Srinivas is the editor. Production design is by Narni Srinivas, and action choreography is Wing Chun Anji. Additionally, Chukkla Vijay Kumar has been credited as the co-director.

Ritesh Rana also reunites with composer Kaala Bhairava for the film. The director has also penned the dialogues, besides co-writing the story and screenplay with Jeyendhra Aerrola.

Mythri Movie Makers, which had presented the Mathu Vadalara movies, are onboard for this film as well as presenters. Satya was recently seen in films like Andhra King Taluka and Dude, both of which were incidentally produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
