Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are teaming up once again as the lead pair for their new film Epic. Produced by Naga Vamsi, the makers unveiled the title along with a short glimpse from the film. Aditya Haasan, known for the popular web series 90s – A Middle Class Biopic, is directing the project. During the event, the team addressed several questions, including one about the magical charm of the 90s and what is missing in today’s era.

Responding to that, producer Naga Vamsi said, “It’s social media. We are living in a society where people have made iBomma Ravi into a Robin Hood. So, there is no comparison between the 90s and the present. If we increase the ticket price by just ₹50, we become villains, and iBomma Ravi becomes Robin Hood. You can imagine what kind of society we are in now.”

Director Aditya Haasan said he needed a Telugu-speaking girl for the film and felt Vaishnavi Chaitanya was the best choice. Naga Vamsi added that the film would not move forward without her. “I told Aditya that if Vaishnavi doesn’t do the film, I won’t make it. So I insisted he bring her on board. Even though they are doing Baby 2, I still wanted her in my project opposite Anand Deverakonda,” said Naga Vamsi.

Speaking about the release, he said that the date will be announced in a week. “I want to plan the release carefully. I am not in a hurry. Before finalising the date, I want to ensure everything about the film is perfect,” said Naga Vamsi.
