Sekhar Kammula’s next film announced

The acclaimed filmmaker recently had a release with Dhanush-starrer Kuberaa

On the auspicious occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi, production banner Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP announced their next project. Taking to their Instagram page, the banner informed that they are collaborating again with Sekhar Kammula.

It is to be noted that Sekhar had directed their most recent production, Dhanush-starrer Kuberaa, which had a release in June. SVC LLP penned in the announcement post, “The film is currently in the early stages of development, with cast and crew details to be finalized and revealed very soon. Further details will be officially announced in the coming months.”

Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 130 crore, Kuberaa performed successfully in the Telugu states, but failed to breakeven in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and overseas territories.

The new project will mark 11th film for Sekhar, who has earlier made landmark films like Anand, Godavari, Happy Days among others. 

Incidentally, August 27 also marks the birthday for one of SVC LLP founders Suniel Narang.
