The release of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Mass Jathara has officially been postponed. Originally scheduled to hit theatres on August 27, the film will now arrive later, with a new release date yet to be announced.
Confirming earlier reports, the producers said the decision was taken due to industry-wide strikes and unexpected delays in completing crucial content. In a statement, they explained that the team did not want to rush the process and was instead determined to present the film “at its absolute best.”
They added that work is progressing at full pace, with every department focused on shaping the film into what they described as a “festival-style entertainer.” Fans were assured that an updated release date and additional surprises would be shared soon.
Mass Jathara stars Ravi Teja alongside Sreeleela and is directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is presented by Srikara Studios.
The teaser, released recently, offered a glimpse of Ravi Teja in his typical larger-than-life role as a railway police officer. It showcased action, comedy and romance, featuring Sreeleela as the female lead and Rajendra Prasad as the actor’s quirky grandfather.
Mass Jathara also reunites Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, who were last paired in Dhamaka. Music is by Bheems Ceciroleo, with two songs already released. Cinematography is handled by Vidhu Ayyanna, editing by Navin Nooli, and production design by Nagendra Tangala.
Ravi Teja was last seen in Harish Shankar’s Mr Bachchan. With Mass Jathara, the actor returns to his familiar zone of commercial cinema.
