The makers of Nara Rohith’s Sundarakanda unveiled the film’s trailer on Monday. It’s a funky, rhythmic cut and Leon James spices up the trailer with an infectious energy in his hip-hop music. The editing by Rohan Chillale hooks immediately and promises loads of fun. The story follows Siddharth, a middle-aged man yearning to find a life partner.

Sundarakanda, with the tagline “No two love stories are the same” shows Siddharth’s two love stories, one with an older woman in his younger days and with a relatively younger woman in the present. Although not much of the plot is revealed in the trailer, it promises a relatable and zingy take on modern love.

Marking the directorial debut of Venkatesh Nimmalapudi, Sundarakanda has Vriti Vaghani and Sri Devi Vijay Kumar playing the female leads opposite Rohith. Produced under Sandeep Picture Palace (SPP) by Santhosh Chinnapolla, Gowtham Reddy, and Rakesh Mahankalli, Sundarakanda is set for its theatrical release on August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film is clashing with Ravi Teja’s starrer Mass Jathara and Madhu Shalini’s presentation Kanya Kumari

Sundarakanda’s technical crew features cinematography by Pradeesh M Varma, and art direction by Rajesh Pentakota. The supporting cast includes Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Vasuki Anand, Satya, Ajay, VTV Ganesh, Abhinav Gomatam, Viswant, Rupa Lakshmi, Sunaina, and Raghu Babu. Nara Rohith was last seen in Bellamkonda Sreenivas starrer Bhairavam which got an underwhelming reception.
