Madhu Shalini, who gained attention with early 2000s films like Kitha Kithalu, Anukshanam and even the 2018 Adivi Sesh starrer Goodachari, is stepping into production. The Cheekati Rajyam actor took to social media to announce that she is presesnting a love story titled Kanya Kumari. The film locked its release date and is set to arrive August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chathurthi. Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara is also releasing on the same date.  

Kanya Kumari features newcomers Sreecharan Rachakonda and Geeth Saini in the lead roles. The poster was also unveiled with the tagline “An organis love story.” The still shows both Sreecharan lifting Geeth in the air as a CGI butterfly appears behind her. The film is set in Srikakulam and appears to be a grounded rural romance written and directed by Srujan Attada. 

Kanya Kumari has music by Ravi Nidamarthy, editing by Naresh Adupa and cinematography by Shiva Gajula and Haricharan K. Srujan Attada is also the producer of the film and he backed under his Radical Pictures banner.
