Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainments has joined forces with Anurag Reddy and Sharath’s A+S Movies, SriChakraas Entertainments and Mahayana Motion Pictures to present director Venkatesh Maha’s upcoming film with Satyadev in the lead. The makers announced that the project has completed 50% of its shoot and will unveil its title and first look on Tuesday, August 12, at 12:12 pm.

A cropped promotional poster released on Monday alongside the announcement hints at Satyadev in what appears to be a period-style costume. While the team has not confirmed whether the film is a period drama, the attire suggests elements of theatre or a historical setting. The poster also carries the line “Doubt is a demon”, hinting at possible psychological or introspective themes. Industry reports suggest that the film may be titled Rao Bahadur.

Sharing the news, Venkatesh Maha, known for Care of Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, expressed his gratitude to the producers. “Extremely grateful to @urstrulyMahesh Sir, @urstrulynamrata Ma’am, @anuragmayreddy, #SharathChandra, and #ChintaGopalakrishnaReddy Garu — this wouldn’t have been possible without you. I’m back, as humble as ever, more creative than before, and with my one and only @ActorSatyaDev by my side. Let’s celebrate once again!” he wrote.

This will be Maha’s third feature film, following his critically acclaimed debut Care of Kancharapalem and the Telugu remake of Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya. Satyadev, who has steadily built a reputation for varied roles in both mainstream and independent Telugu cinema, will take on the lead role. He was recently seen in Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom.

Further details regarding the rest of the cast and crew remain under wraps. With the combination of Maha’s distinctive storytelling style and the involvement of multiple production houses, the project has already drawn attention ahead of its official title reveal tomorrow.
