We had earlier reported about the teaser of Arjun Chakravarthy which was unveiled nearly two weeks ago. The sports drama now has a release date. Starring Vijay Ramaraju in the lead role, Arjun Chakravarthy is slated for a theatrical release on August 29.
The teaser begins with a voiceover (by Ajay), narrating the glories of a famous Kabaddi champion, soon taking a drastic turn where Arjun is showed as an rugged and unkempt alcoholic, before he is gradually persuaded to stage a comeback. Set in the 1980s and based on real events, the film promises to blend nostalgia and inspiration, with a narrative set in a grounded tone, revolving around Arjun’s fights both external and internal.
Arjun Chakravarthy also stars Sijaa Rose, Harsh Roshan, Ajay Ghosh, Durgesh, and Dayanand Reddy in ensemble cast. The film is directed by Vikrant Rudra, who has also penned the script.
A few days ago, the team released their new single, titled ‘Megham Varshinichada.’ Vignesh Baskaran is the music composer for Arjun Chakravarthy.
Srini Gubbala serves as the producer, bankrolling the project under Gannet Celluloid Production, while Ede Krishna Chaitanya is credited as the co-producer. In the technical team, Jagadeesh Cheekati is the cinematographer and Pradeep Nandan is the editor. Sumith Patel helms the production design. Eminent costume designer Poohitha Tadikona is on board as well. Dialogues are by Rawindra Pulle, who is also the writer-director for the upcoming Rashmika Mandanna starter Mysaa.
There are two other releases that week, although on different dates — Ravi Teja starrer Mass Jathara, which had its teaser release earlier today, and Nara Rohith’s Sundarakanda.
