On the occasion of Mahesh Babu’s birthday, SS Rajamouli gave a special present to all Mahesh Babu fans, by promising a major update about their upcoming film SSMB29, in November this year.

Addressing Mahesh Babu fans as well as others awaiting their film, Rajamouli penned on his social media pages, “It has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film. However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice.”

The RRR filmmaker added that the team is working on something to ‘showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating,’ adding that the said glimpse will be unveiled in November 2025. “We are trying to make it a never-before-seen’ reveal,” he added.

Earlier, we had reported that Mahesh Babu is preparing to perform his own stunts for the film, that is mounted as a massive action-adventure. In June, the makers had constructed a special set in Varanasi for a key sequence.

The film unofficially stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. Priyanka recently filmed a sequence involving the traditional Mayurbhanj Chhau dance form, confirmed by her choreographer on social media.

The film is being produced by KL Narayana with a reported budget of Rs 1,000 crore. Reports suggest that the film is currently scheduled for release in March 2027. While official confirmation is awaited, reports further claim that Deva Katta has already submitted a version of the dialogues to Rajamouli. SSMB29 is written by Vijayendra Prasad and features music by MM Keeravani.
