The mythological drama Tribanadhari Barbarik, featuring veteran actor Sathyaraj in the titular role, will release on August 22, the makers announced at a press meet held on Tuesday. Directed by Mohan Srivatsa and produced by Vijaypal Reddy Adidhala under Vanara Celluloid, the film is presented by director Maruthi, who is helming The Raja Saab.

Speaking at the event, Sathyaraj said, “I’m delighted to have worked on Tribanadhari Barbarik. We could all say our roles are main, but the story is the real hero here. Even after turning 70, I still want to take on new, unique roles. This film will be released on August 22, which is my dear friend Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday.”

The film’s cast includes Satyam Rajesh, Vasishta N Simha, Udaya Bhanu, Kranthi Kiran and Saanchi Rai. Udaya Bhanu, who plays a negative role, said, “I haven’t been away from movies; I just act in roles that appeal to me. Mohan gave me a challenging role in ‘Barbarik,’ and I put my all into it. This film will be a feast for the eyes for everyone. Please watch and support it.”

The teaser released earlier this year hinted at an anthology structure, interlinking multiple stories around a mysterious book titled Tribanadhari. The promotional song, released recently, ‘Iskithadi Uskithadi’ sung by Rahul Sipligunj, has gone viral, adding to anticipation.

With music by Infusion Band, cinematography by Kushendar Ramesh Reddy, and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh, Tribanadhari Barbarik clashes with Anupama Parameswaran’s Paradha.
