Adivi Sesh’s much-awaited spy thriller G2, the sequel to his 2018 film Goodachari, is set to hit theatres worldwide on May 1, 2026, the makers announced on Monday, coinciding with the seventh anniversary of the first film’s release. To mark the occasion, the team unveiled a striking first-look poster featuring Adivi Sesh aiming a gun, with shattered glass pieces showing different versions of his character.

Sharing the poster on social media, Adivi Sesh wrote: I was silent until now. Because we have been building something EXPLOSIVE. Shooting in six countries. 23 sets. 150 days. Releasing in 5 languages. My BIGGEST.” The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Emraan Hashmi, with new stills from the film revealed in Variety.

Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Adivi Sesh, G2 is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments. The film is being positioned as an international spy thriller and will release in five languages, including Telugu and Hindi.

Goodachari was praised for its taut storytelling and ended with a clear set-up for a sequel. Returning cast members from the first film include Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda and Madhu Shalini. The technical crew for G2 features cinematography by Azeem Mohammed and music by Sricharan Pakala, who also scored the first instalment.

Adivi Sesh, who has appeared last in Major and in a cameo in Nani’s HIT 3, is also working on Dacoit alongside Mrunal Thakur, has described G2 as his most ambitious project yet, promising a high-stakes spy story filmed on a global scale.
