On Tuesday, the makers of Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel project officially announced the release date of their film. The film, tentatively titled NTR Neel will hit theatres on June 25, 2026.  

While the film officially went into production in February this year, Jr NTR began shooting for the film earlier this month on the 22nd. The film has been reportedly titled Dragon, though the makers haven’t commented on the same. The film is billed as a period actioner and a standalone feature, unlike Neel’s previous two projects KGF and Salaar.

The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju under the Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts banners. While more details about the film’s cast are yet to be announced, Rukmini Vasanth is reportedly playing the female lead. Bhuvan Gowda is handling cinematography, while Ravi Basrur will compose the music.  During a recent promotional event, Ravi Shankar confirmed that they are planning a big-scale international release for the film. 

Jr NTR’s upcoming projects include War 2, where he shares screen with Hrithik Roshan, that is set to release in August this year.
