The official trailer of upcoming film Nilave was unveiled on Monday. Helmed by director-duo Sowmith Rao and Sai Vennam, Nilave promises to be a larger-than-life love story set in contemporary times.

Sowmith Rao also plays the male lead of his film, while Shreyasi Sen plays the female lead. Billed as a musical love story, Nilave promises to tell the story of Arjun, a young man dealing with existential dread, whose life changes when he bumps into a stage singer at a party. Even as romance blossoms between the two, who also happen to be neighbours, circumstances put their feelings and relationship to test many times — while the two strive to stay together against all odds. 

Nilave, produced by Giridhar Rao Poladi and Sai Vennam, features Harsha Chemudu, Supriya Aysola, Rupesh Marrapu, Jeevan Kumar, Gururaj, Siddarth Gollapudi, and Anala Sushmitha in the supporting cast. Kalyan Nayak has composed music for the film, and lyrics are by MVS Bharadwaj. The cinematography and editing are helmed by Dileep K Kumar, and Satyaa G, respectively. 

The makers of Nilave are yet to set a release date.
