The trailer of Subham, produced by Samantha under her TraLaLa Moving Pictures banner, was released on Sunday, offering a glimpse into a horror comedy centred around small-town marital life. Directed by Cinema Bandi fame Praveen Kandregula, the film is set to show comical situations that arise in households with a horror twist. Samantha also makes a cameo appearance.

The trailer begins with a group of husbands discussing how they maintain control over their wives and be “Alpha males”, followed by scenes from a couple’s wedding night. The groom, played by Harshith, initially appearing mild-mannered, attempts to assert dominance, while the bride listens quietly. However, events take a strange turn when the bride becomes deeply engrossed in a television serial and suddenly is possessed by a ghost. The narrative expands to show that many men in the village are dealing with a similar situation, setting up a comedic conflict.

Subham stars Harshith Malgireddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Srinivas, and Shravani Lakshmi in lead roles, with Vamshidhar Goud among the ensemble cast. The film features music by Clinton Cerejo, a background score by Vivek Sagar, and cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen. Subham is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 9, clashing with Sree Vishnu’s #Single.
